Northville Farm Heritage Centre

About the Northville Farm Heritage Centre

The Northville Farm Heritage Centre was founded in 2000 by a volunteer organization. Its fifteen acre site is nestled under the North Mountain ridge, which defines the northern edge of Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley. The Bay of Fundy, behind the Mountain, is only four miles away as the crow flies.

The family farm was once a stable industry here in the Valley. For the families involved, it was more than a business; it was a way of life. However, in just one or two generations it has almost disappeared.

The Northville Farm Heritage Centre will be a memorial to those family farms, and will feature a lasting display of their tools and implements, as well as their farming methods.

This farm museum is located in the midst of the best agricultural land in Nova Scotia. It has been continuously under development by a dedicated group of volunteers with farming blood in their veins.
